Some screening reports for an unfinished Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince have appeared online and they are so full of spoilers that I can't even risk providing a snippet from one.

It looks like Warner Bros did have reason after all for pushing back Half-Blood Prince. The early screening reports to surface over at AICN are not exactly positive and claim that fans of the book will walk away disappointed.

As I said, huge spoilers ahead, so tread carefully.

First Showing - Producer David Heyman Responds to Half-Blood Prince Delay

I'm trying not to stoke the fire that is the angry mob of Harry Potter fans, but I thought this response from producer David Heyman on the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince delay was too good to pass up today. ComingSoon recently talked with Heyman and got an extended response to the delay, which as everyone know caused quite an outrage back in August. The new international trailer that hit the web a few days ago didn't really help either, given it's yet another painful reminder that we have to wait eight more months when we could be seeing it in November. Alas, Heyman tries to dwell on the bright side of things near the end, but we'll get to that later.

"I would love the film to come out in November; we would have been ready, but the fact is partly because of the writers strike and for whatever reason, Warners didn't have any movies next summer. They had Batman this year which was bigger than they ever thought it would be, so they came to me, and they said, 'David, we want to move it.' Warners has been really good to us. They've given us lots of money and lots of independence. It defies belief how much independence we have on these films. They give us the money, they read a draft of the script. I choose the director, we make the film, they come and visit. We show them a cut of the film, they say they like it, they give us some notes, we make the changes that we want to make. We test screen it once and show it to them, and then the movie is released. They've been so supportive that one has to support… they needed it. It's a film business."

For those who are trying to focus on the positive, Heyman confirms that the film's already done.

"We're just mixing and there's a slight tweak we're going to do but actually, if the film was coming out tomorrow, we'd have done it but we have the time."

Due to security issues and worries over piracy, however, they're keeping the film separated and won't put it together until next year when they're ready to start making prints. Fans who are anxious for every bit of Harry Potter they can get should rest assured that this means we'll see even more promotion leading up to the July 17th, 2009 release and less time between Half-Blood Prince and the first of the Deathly Hallows films, which will start filming in February.

"The way it's weird to the fans, and this is true, is that there always was going to be a two-year gap somewhere. So there was either going to be a two-year gap between HP6 and HP7 Part 1 but now there's going to a gap between HP5 and HP6. But the films HP7 Part 1 and 2 are at the moment, we are planning on coming out in November 2010 and Summer 2011."

So if you think about it like that, there will be a half-year wait now, then only a one-and-a-half year wait to Deathly Hallows: Part I, then a short half-year wait until the conclusion with Deathly Hallows: Part II. The case in point being this all means we'll get to the final few films much faster than before, and that should be exciting enough to just let all frustration go.

Någon som har Harry Potter filmerna till Blu-ray? Jag hade funderat att byta över mina till Blu-ray och när jag kollade skillnaderna mellan DVD och Blu-ray så stod det alltid att Blu-ray versionen var 5-10 min. längre än DVD-versionen. Är det någon som kan styrka att det faktiskt är så?

Har visst premiär redan i dag.

För att svara på Crusaders fråga däruppe för länge sedan så beror det väl på att DVD:erna är behängda med PAL-speedup (alla filmer blir 4% kortare i Europa jämfört med USA), vilket inte Blu-Ray-filmerna drabbas av.

Såg för övrigt filmen på bio nyss. Småttingarna har växt upp..

Sjätte filmen om Harry Potter och jag säger med en gång: nej, jag har inte sett alla filmerna, nej, jag är inget större HP-fan och nej, jag har inte läst böckerna. Med det avklarat så kan vi fortsätta med den aktuella filmen.

Riktigt snygg inledning må jag säga. Läckert med Warner Bros loggan och titeln på filmen. Speglingen i skyskrapans rutmönster av fönster där de mörka molnen tornar upp sig. Svarta rökslingor som färdas genom staden. Allt i en nedtonad grå skala. Snyggt.

Daniel Radcliffe och Emma Watson spelar bra. T.o.m Rupert Grint har sina ljusa stunder, dock är hans spel mestadels knappt godkänt. Alan Rickman alltid lika bra och en njutning att se in action. Michael Gambon som Dumbledor är jag mer tveksam över. Inte så att han spelade dåligt, men jag är inte helt övertygad om att han var rätt för rollen. Kan inte sätta fingret på det, men något saknades. Jim Broadbent är en annan favorit och här levererar han till max och spelar skjortan av de övriga.
Favoriten är dock Bellatrix, gestaltad av Helena Bonham-Carter som är en riktigt spännande och otäck karaktär och där Helena gör en lysande prestation. Hade gärna sett mer av henne faktiskt.

Som så många andra redan noterat är det här en mycket mörkare och ruggigare film än föregångarna. Inte bara storymässigt utan även bildmässigt med mörkt foto med grå-svarta nyanser. Borta är lekande barn och strålande sol från de tidigare filmerna – in har allvar och mörka moln trätt in. Barnen har blivit stora och trätt in i vuxenvärlden.

Den största behållningen med filmen är det tekniska som inte går av för hackor. Märks att ILM ligger bakom det. Fotot sköts även det bra av Bruno Delbonnel.
Bra musik av den inte helt okända John Williams som även gjorde filmmusiken till Harry Potter och Phoenixorden.

Först och framst: Ron/ Rupert Grint är min favoritkaraktär! Och tycker Rupert är bra.

Sen: John Williams har väl gjort musik till alla HP-filmerna? Dessutom har det varit ganska "vuxet" och mörkt redan tidigt i filmserien.

Beror på hur man ser på det här med musiken för i de två första (tror jag bestämt det var) så var han 'bara' dirigent.

Mörkt och vuxit tidigt i serien tycker jag inte direkt. Nu har jag bara sett de två första och de skulle jag inte vilja klassa som så.

Tvåan har inslag av mörker, och redan i trean blir det mycket mörkare och allvarligare. Alltså du har rätt i att det skiljer sig från den första, men det lät lite som att du ansåg att det mörka och "vuxna" kom från och med film nummer fem. John Williams kan ofta stå som "conductor" för övrigt, tittar man på imdb ser man att han är det på t.ex. Star Wars ep. II också, även om alla väl vet att han var kompositören till all Star Wars-musik.
