Warehouse 13 Green-Lighted

SCI FI Channel has given a green light to Warehouse 13, a two-hour pilot it describes as part The X-Files, part Raiders of the Lost Ark and part Moonlighting. The pilot for a one-hour drama comedy comes from Universal Media Studios and is slated to begin production in December, with an eye toward a summer 2008 premiere.

After saving the life of the president, two FBI agents find themselves abruptly "promoted" and relocated to windswept South Dakota, to a top-secret location called Warehouse 13: a massive, secret storage facility that houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government over the centuries.

The duo search the country for several missing objects while monitoring for reports of supernatural and paranormal activity that could indicate the presence of other objects they must retrieve.

Warehouse 13 is based on a script by Rockne O'Bannon (Farscape) and Jane Espenson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and D. Brent Mote.

Warehouse finds its leads

SciFi’s upcoming dramedy Warehouse 13 has found its leads according to the Hollywood Reporter. Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly have signed to star in the two-hour pilot for the potential series.

Warehouse, from UMS, revolves around two FBI agents — by-the-book Myka (Kelly) and rule-bender Peter (McClintock) — who, after saving the life of the U.S. president, are relocated to Warehouse 13, a location that houses supernatural objects the government has collected over the centuries. The duo’s assignment is to retrieve missing objects and investigate reports of new ones.

It revolves around two FBI agents -- rule-bender Peter (Eddie McClintock) and by-the-book Myka (Joanne Kelly) -- who, after saving the life of the U.S. president, are relocated to Warehouse 13, a location that houses supernatural objects the government has collected over the centuries.

SciFi Channel Orders First Season Of 'Warehouse 13'
Nothing to report on the "Battlestar Galactica" spinoff "Caprica," but the SciFi Channel has finally made a decision on its proposed "Warehouse 13" series.

The network ordered 11 hours of the series, which along with a previously produced pilot, will give it a cable-standard 13-episode order for the first season. Production on the series is expected to begin in February, and will take place in Toronto, gearing for a July premiere.

The show starts Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly and Saul Rubinek, and focuses on two Secret Service agents working in a top-secret storage facility in South Dakota after saving the life of the president. McClintock and Kelly play those agents, who are tasked by Rubinek's character to chase down more artifacts to include in the warehouse, in sort of a reverse "The X-Files" take.

Jane Espenson, of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Battlestar" fame, wrote the pilot along with David Simkins. The series itself is based on a story idea by Brent Mote and Espenson, and will be showrun by Simkins, who last was involved with "Blade: The Series" and "The Dresden Files."

Warehouse 13 Writers Announced!

SCI FI Channel's upcoming new series Warehouse 13 has filled out its staff of writers with sci-fi experts, including executive producers Jack Kenny (Book of Daniel) and David Simkins (Blade, The Dresden Files).

Other staff members include co-executive producer Dana Baratta (Runaway), supervising producer Drew Greenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Wars: The Clone Wars), co-producers Matt Federman and Steven Scaia (Jericho) and staff writers Bob Goodman (Batman Beyond, The New Batman/Superman Adventures), Tamara Becher (Crash) and Ben Raab and Deric Hughes (The Operator, Afterworld).

SCI FI gave a green light to production of the new original drama series and has ordered 11 hours, including a previously produced two-hour pilot.

New York, NY February 20, 2009 SCI FI's newest original series Warehouse 13 has begun production in Toronto starring Eddie McClintock (Bones, Desperate Housewives), Joanne Kelly (The Dresden Files, Vanished) and Saul Rubinek (Blind Justice, Frasier). This new one-hour dramedy from Universal Cable Productions is slated to premiere in July 2009 with 11 episodes including the previously produced two hour pilot.

After saving the life of the President, two Secret Service agents find themselves abruptly transferred to Warehouse 13 -- a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government. The Warehouse's caretaker Artie (Rubinek) charges Pete (McClintock) and Myka (Kelly) with chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to cache at the Warehouse, as well as helping him to control the warehouse itself.

McClintock plays Pete Lattimer, a handsome, athletic Secret Service Agent who's impulsive, intuitive nature often leads him to leap before he looks. There is hardly a situation so dire to which he can't find the lighter side.

Kelly portrays Secret Service Agent Myka Bering, a woman born to be an agent. Organized and focused, she believes in hard work, solid planning and steadfast execution. Needless to say, it is an approach that causes conflict with Pete's off-the-cuff style.

Rubinek is Artie Nielsen, a long-time Secret Service Agent who is in charge of Warehouse 13. Enthusiastic about his work, and made a bit "eccentric" by his long tenure in the isolated warehouse, Artie is happy to have Pete and Myka join him in the pursuit of objects that "threaten to ruin the world's day."

And CCH Pounder (The Shield), who appeared in the pilot, returns in a guest-starring role as Artie's boss, Mrs. Frederic. Her overshadowing and enigmatic presence directs the team's ongoing missions to contain the peculiar, dangerous and threatening objects that must be secured at any cost.

Allison Scagliotti Joins Warehouse 13 Cast


Allison Scagliotti ("Drake & Josh") has been cast in "Warehouse 13," the all-new SCI FI original one-hour dramedy adventure series. She joins the previously announced cast members Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek and CCH Pounder. "Warehouse 13" will premiere Tuesday, July 7 with the 2-hour pilot from 9 - 11PM ET/PT.

Scagliotti will portray Claudia Donovan, a young, hip, brilliant techno-wiz, who manages to successfully breach the Warehouse's complex security system in order to track down Artie (Rubinek). With a natural aptitude for science and technology, Donovan's talents enable her to manipulate and activate many of the objects contained in the Warehouse to help the Team.

Stargate Atlantis star Joe Flanigan will appear in SCI FI Channel's upcoming Warehouse 13, as will former Battlestar Galactica cast members Tricia Helfer, Michael Hogan and Mark Sheppard, SCI FI announced.

Såg reklam för det här på SciFi Channel häromdagen, fattade inte mycket av trailern men det jag läste på hemsidan verkade väldigt intressant. Skadar inte att se första avsnittet i alla fall!

Ok, nu blev jag intresserad på riktigt. Förrut - sådär, lite halverst men om dom baserat karaktärena på Cary Grant/William Powell och Katherine Hepburn/Myna Loy och 40-tals screwball så är jag väääldigt intresserad. Att Rockne S O'Bannon skapat serien gör det ju inte sämre heller.

Why Warehouse 13's writers looked to Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn for inspiration

The main characters in SCI FI's upcoming Warehouse 13 are FBI agents guarding supernatural artifacts, but their inspirations have more to do with classic romantic comedy stars such as Cary Grant, Myrna Loy and Katharine Hepburn, the series' executive producers said.

Warehouse 13 pairs the reluctant agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bening and assigns them to track down and retrieve ancient and powerful artifacts scattered across the globe before they fall into the wrong hands.

In a conference call, executive producers Jack Kennedy and David Simkins told reporters that the action adventure has its antecedents in part in the screwball comedies of the 1930s and '40s and that the actors had a say in how their characters were created.

Någon som sett än? Tyckte det var rätt bra. Artie (Saul Rubinek) som jobbar i lagret verkar vara en skön karaktär.

Jodå har sätt piloten 101-102 och avsnittet efteråt 103 också.
Det är en serie som duger nu på sommaren i alla fall även om jag hoppas på att den ska mogna lite och bli bättre med tiden.
Man vet ju inte även eureka var ju lite halvdan i början men kom senare igång och blev bättre efter några avsnitt.
